Happy CNY and My CNY's Eve!

Happy CNY! You should know by now that my posts are mostly long overdued and foodcentric. Very seldom do I talk about my day.  Well, I have some spare time before reunion dinner and so let me tell you what I did just now.

It started out with an innocent idea of grabbing some Yu Sheng from Imperial Treasure for reunion dinner but we end up having lunch there as well.  Well, I was quite determined not to over-eat and avoid high-protein stuff for lunch. Anyway, I always like the Youtiao Cheong Fun at Imperial for their consistently crispy you tiao.

Mushroom dumpling is another light but delicious dim sum.  I need to prepare my stomach for the feast tonight and so this is an ideal tim sum.

However, we could not resist an order of Xiaolongbao.  Again, I love the consistent good quality I always get at Imperial Treasure.

Tonight's dinner is going to be packed with loads of meat and seafood. So we loaded up on vitamins with this delicately done Kailan with ginger gravy.

After lunch, it was just shopping around to burn some calories.  Took this photo while I was waiting outside Ben Sherman's fitting room.  Love their shirts. Their T-shirts with their targetboard logo (painted on their floor) are really quite cute.

Since we were at Paragon and it was still early, we went to Bakerzin for some uninspiring cake and equally flat Flat White.

Well, you can tell that we were rather bored and someone requested for a photo of his new Tods.  I happily obliged.

Finally, we headed back to Imperial Treasure to pick up my Yu Sheng (I am very traditional and I like my yu sheng with ikan parang and NOT salmon) which will be probably just a tenth of the total amount of food to be consumed tonight!  Ha ha, I thought I can write something different for once but yet end up talking about food again.  Guess once a foodie always a foodie.  So for all foodies out there HAPPY CNY and have a great time feasting!

Hi PY. How much is the yeesang?

Hi Ruth. Happy CNY! It's about $41 for a small portion with single serving of ikan parang. My family swept the plate clean even after a scrumptious dinner!
