Swiss Grill: That Butchery Whips Up Mean Burgers
Why am I always searching for a good burger when I always know that this is good?
Swiss Grill is just down the road from A's place and we quickly become regulars since it opened. Swiss Grill is never crowded and we always enjoy a simple nonetheless satisfying dinner at this place more known for its raw meat. The burgers are as faultless as its service. Granted it may not be as chi-chi as gourmet burger joints for Swiss is essentially a butchery. But what we are assured of is quality cooking and tip-top freshness always.

Royal China At Raffles: Saturday Mornings
Saturday mornings, unlike Sunday mornings are usually spend at North Bridge Road. We like the two Chinese restaurants just across the road from each other. One has great roasted duck, the other great fried duck.
Crispy Aromatic Duck Roll, $14
Any self-respecting foodie will know of RC's crispy aromatic duck. In fact, a really good friend of mine got so addicted to RC@London that he ate it every week while he was studying there! Gosh! Sadly, there were just two of us and we have to eat this compromising option to enjoy the other tim sum. Do eat the crispy aromatic duck if you are in a bigger party!

Wild Honey: A Year-Long Wait
Wild Honey was forever full when it first opened last year. I love brunch but not enough to wait for an hour just to have it. Brunch is supposed to be a leisurely affair. Waiting more than an hour for that bak chor mee at Bedok is another story :P I wait there and then till I get my mee. For brunch, I mentally waited a year for crowds to cease.
European, $18

Tom Yum Kungfu : Thai In The CBD
This is another very belated post. In fact I went Tom Yum Kungfu before my Bangkok trip. Prior to my trip I had been craving Thai for MONTHS and somehow my friends kept me from E-Sarn and Porn's. I was pretty pleased that my longtime friend jandew suggested Thai at Tom Yum Kungfu. What a corny name I thought.
