The original intention was just to check out the cafe AND checked out Her Highness's yearly dose of hot cross buns. Baker & Cook looks pretty crowded everyday. It was never my intention to stay more than necessary.

Flourless Orange Cake by the Window

Then I saw the word "flourless" tied to the orange cake. Lost control and ordered. The dense and wet orange cake tasted so divine that it did not really matter I was the only unkempt person in a loose t-shirt and shorts. Seriously, the crowd in Baker & Cook was disturbingly well-heeled for a weekday morning.

I need to wait for Her Highness to do an opening ceremony with those hot cross buns but I am pretty confident that they will be delish too! Meanwhile, have a great holiday folks! Grab some hot cross buns before they disappear over the Easter weekend!
