Bangkok Jam

Seriously, one should just eat less if want to lose weight. I have serious issues with people who try to sell diet programmes and meal replacements. Such things just take joy out of eating and living a humanly life.

We hopped into Bangkok Jam, the new Thai eatery at Wheelock by CreativEateries for a quick lunch. Their other outlet is at Great World City. The place was disturbingly empty at noon but I have pretty good experiences at their Siam Kitchen. Anyway, it was a totally redundant worry. The place got completely filled up in a blink.

Literally large and extensive menu

Lots of stuff seem good on their huge menu but we ordered very little. I am the kind of girl who is forever dieting. Very irritating I know.

Avocado Milkshakes

Thai food is flavourful and very appetizing. It is easy to lose control and overeat. I usually order avocado as my drink. Avocados are known to lower blood cholesterol and avocado milkshake is very filling. The taste of milk in Bangkok Jam's version drowned the taste of the poor avocado. What a pity.

Coaster 1

Got quite distracted while waiting and started to take pictures of the coasters.

Coaster 2

A cooler coaster.

Tom Kha Ghai and Phad Thai

Ordered the tom kha ghai for the sake of comparison. Coconut milk does nothing good for our cholesterol levels, glad we ordered avocado shakes :) Porn's soup was indeed smoother while this was a tad salty. Granted I did not order any rice because I am afraid of getting fat. Phad thai was a tad sweet but still as satisfying as any good phad thai should be. Both had lots of fresh beansprouts, seafood and meat which made us very happy.

Tapioca with Coconut Milk

Tapioca was sweet and tender.  I took 2 cubes because sweet and starchy stuff are my Achilles heel. So all it takes is just a bit of self-control and management. If I can happily eat and maintain a BMI of less than 20, so can you.

Which idiot try to get you to eat meal replacement? Can't the chap see how skinny your limbs are?

PY, is it possible that you don't truncate your entries? I have serious issues with bloggers who truncate their posts. :P

No decent food blogger will sell slimming pills. Cheers!

It takes double the trouble for me to click on the "Read on" or "Read on after the jump!" (which is very bothersome really!), in which case I am more inclined to, rather & will, click on the "x" at the top RH corner of my window. :-) But it's your call.

Thanks PY for asking, but I have stopped blogging.

Ice: Good for you but great lost to readers out there. Ha ha I do things on whims so the truncated posts may or may not stay for long :)
